There are numerous funny, controversial and sometimes even risqué streets and place names around Sussex.

A street name in Swanage made the news this week after a holidaying family complained that it was racially insensitive.

Dorset County Council were contacted by the family who found Darkie Lane in Ulwell to be “offensive”.
