POLICE want to speak to three people after man was seriously injured during the theft of his electric scooter.

The victim, a 43-year-old man from St Leonards, reported that two people he believed to be teenagers had taken his electric scooter.

The incident happened at the seafront promenade at the end of Grand Avenue, Hove, on September 7 at around 2pm.

As the man attempted to chase them westwards along the seafront, a third member of the group tripped him, causing serious injuries.

The incident involved boys between the age of 15 and 18 with at least two of them riding mountain bikes.

They were wearing dark bandana masks, black tops and dark baseball caps.

Two were wearing grey jogging bottoms.
