A TEENAGER accused of taking a fake gun into college is set to go on trial later this year, it was confirmed today.

Sandijs Dreimanis was arrested following an incident at Crawley College earlier this year.

Armed police swarmed the college after reports of shots being fired on April 26.

The 18-year-old appeared at Lewes Crown Court where he denied possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.

Dreimanis, of Barton Walk in Crawley, spoke only to confirm his name and enter his plea during the preliminary hearing.

The trial is set to commence in December at Lewes Crown Court.
