A SELECTION of real ales will be available at four Wetherspoons pubs as part of a 12-day festival.

Up to 20 British and Irish real ales will be available during the festival, which is set to run from Wednesday October 20 to Sunday October 31.

The Wetherspoons pubs taking part in the festival are The Bright Helm in Brighton’s West Street, The Post and Telegraph in North Street, Brighton, and The West Quay in Brighton Marina Village, as well as The Cliftonville Inn in George Street, Hove.

The beers available will include Black Sheep Monty Python's Dead Parrot, Wolf Lazy Dog, Rooster's Long Shadow, Thornbridge Shelby, Exmoor Wicked Wolf, Salopian Hop Twister, Bath Queen of Hearts, Bru Brewery Bru Brown Ale and Wadworth Sweet Molly.

A pint of each beer will cost from £1.99 to £2.29.

Among the options, there will be beers available for vegans and vegetarians, as well as two gluten-free beers.

Among the beers never previously served at the pubs, will include blackberry, coffee and juniper berry flavoured beers.

The Post and Telegraph manager Matthew Scott said the festival is a “great celebration of British and Irish ales”.

"It will allow us to showcase an excellent choice of beers over a 12-day period at great value for money prices,” he said.

Tasting notes on all of the beers will be available in the pubs and on the Wetherspoon app.

Third-of-a pint glasses will also be available, allowing customers to sample three beers for the price of a pint.

All ales will be available to order via the Wetherspoon app or at the bar in each pub.
