A TV presenter has been spotted in the city filming for a secret project.

Gameshow host Richard Osman shared a snap of Brighton seafront on Twitter hinting that he was in town to film for a new television show.

In a caption alongside the photo, the 50-year-old wrote: “Had a lovely day trip today for a fun secret TV project.”

The star did not reveal any further details, leaving fans to speculate what the project might be.

One Twitter user said: “How Clean Is Your Pier? With Richard Osman”

Another said: “Richard Osman’s beach of games. Frisbee, French cricket, boule and volleyball.”

Richard, who grew up in Haywards Heath, is the co-host of long-running teatime quiz show Pointless with co-star Alexander Armstrong, and presenter of Richard Osman’s House of Games.

Last year, he released his debut novel, The Thursday Murder Club.

Richard, who now lives in West London, wrote The Thursday Murder Club in secret over 18 months and sold the rights to Penguin Random House imprint Viking in a “seven-figure deal.”

The novel is set in a Kent retirement village where four residents meet up each week to tackle cold cases. The novel sees them tackling a fresh murder.
