A WOMAN cyclist was left seriously injured after a collision with an electric scooter - with the rider then fleeing the scene.
Police are appealing for witnesses after the hit-and-run collision between a bicycle and an e-scooter on Lewes Road, Brighton, at 7.30am on Wednesday, October 13.
The female cyclist was riding south in the bike lane when a man heading in the opposite direction collided with her.
Both riders fell to the ground.
Police say the e-scooter rider got up and “continued his journey without any concern for the cyclist”.
The victim was taken to hospital by ambulance with serious injuries.
Investigating officers are appealing for witnesses of the incident or anyone with dash cam footage to come forward.
The suspect is 5ft 8 and was wearing a light grey baseball cap, a black jacket and jeans.
He is believed to often travel on the road.
