AN 18-YEAR-OLD has been charged with sexually assaulting two women on separate occasions.
Mohammadi Shokor appeared at Brighton Magistrates Court on Friday, October 15, charged with false imprisonment and sexually assaulting a woman in Meeting House Lane on Friday, October 8.
The late night attack led to an increase in police patrols in Brighton city centre.
At the time of the incident, police said the man followed a woman in her 20s for a short distance from North Street.
After the attack, the man ran off towards Brighton Square.
Shokor is also charged with sexually assaulting a woman in a nightclub in West Street, Brighton, on Sunday, August 22.
The 18-year-old, of Queens Park Road, Brighton, was remanded in custody to appear at Lewes Crown Court on November 12.
The prosecution, authorised by the CPS, follows investigation by Brighton detectives.
The women involved in the incident are both in their 20s. Both are being supported by specially trained officers.
