KATIE Price’s ex-husband Peter Andre says he is “the most ill he’s been in three years” after missing their sons music launch.

The musician missed two nights of performing in the musical Grease, as well as the release of Junior’s debut single due to ill-health.

Katie and Peter’s son signed his first ever record deal with Columbia Records earlier this year.

Ahead of the launch event for Junior’s debut album, Peter announced he would not be attending as he was unwell.

The singer, who once reached number two on the UK Singles Chart with Mysterious Girl, took to social media to share his disappointment of not being able to attend the event.

"Good luck tonight son. Sorry I can't be with you but show 'em what you've got,” he said.

Peter left fans worried earlier this week when he was heard coughing in the background of his daughter Princess’ livestream.

The father-of-four has previously been ill with Covid, but recently took a lateral flow test which he revealed was negative.

A source told The Sun Peter was “over the moon” the rest result came back negative.

"He's hated not being able to perform for his fans, but the entertainment industry has to be super careful about testing and keeping the cast and crew safe,” the source said.

"It's been a tough few days, but Pete's thrilled he didn't have it. He couldn't wait to get back to work and is feeling much better now."

The 48-year-old shares Princess and Junior with ex-wife Katie Price.

Junior, 16, previously credited his dad for helping him to kickstart his music career.
