TWO schoolboys have been robbed at knifepoint in an underpass.

The teenagers, aged 14 and 15, were in the underpass on Maidenbower Lane, Crawley, at around 2.30pm on Monday when they were threatened.

Police said there were three male suspects and a knife was used to threaten the boys.

A small amount of cash was stolen from one of the victims, while the other was punched to the face.

One of the suspects is white, around 5ft 6in, with patchy, short facial hair and brown, wavy hair with a fade. He is said to be around 14 years old.

He was wearing a black Nike coat with a grey hoodie underneath, black Nike joggers and black gloves.

The second suspect is slim and aged around 14.

He was wearing a zipped up grey North Face coat, black joggers with a white line running along the side, a black man-bag with a white and red tick, and “air” written on it, and black Nike gloves.

Officers say he was also wearing a black balaclava that covered his whole head and only showed his eyes.

The third suspect is described as mixed race, about 5ft 7in and skinny, with fluffy, black curly hair and was also aged around 14.

He was wearing a black zipped up coat, a blue Puma hoodie and a matching blue joggers.

Sussex Police has arrested two local boys, aged 16 and 13 on suspicion of robbery.

They have been released on conditional bail under November 23 while the investigation continues.

The forces says there were a number of people in the area around the time, and are urging anyone with information about the incident to report it online or call 101, quoting serial 760 of 25/10.
