CONSTRUCTION on a temporary ice rink which will be in operation during the Christmas period is due to start soon, Arun District Council has said.

The council are working closely with the ice rink operator to bring back this popular attraction to Bognor this winter.

The ice rink will be in the Regis Centre car park on Clarence Road.

The council and operators are finishing the details of the attraction, and construction is due to start soon.

A spokesman for Arun council said: "We have taken the change in parking provision to the town into consideration and are pleased we have Fitzleet multi-storey, Hothampton, London Road, Lyon street available.

"This is to ensure that shoppers and visitors to the town centre have plenty of places to park this festive season.

"We will share more details closer to opening."

The announcement of the attraction's return comes after it was cancelled last year due to Covid-19 and concerns over safety.
