A RESTAURANT has closed for the next month for major renovations.

Cafe Rouge in The Broadway, Haywards Heath, is having a facelift which will increase the amount of outdoor seating, lighting and heating. This will allow customers to enjoy al fresco dining at all times of the year.

The menu will also have a revamp as new dishes such as vegan cauliflower steak frites are added alongside classics such as beef bourguignon.

Cafe Rouge says it wants to provide customers with "quality and great value in a warm, inviting and comfortable environment".

Javier Lopes, general manager at Cafe Rouge, said: "The new restaurant looks incredible.

"Our team can't wait to open again and serve the local community."

The restaurant, which is ranked number one for the town on Tripadvisor, is set to reopen at the end of November.

Cafe Rouge brand director Steve Worrall said: "This is a big step for our business. Haywards Heath is one of our standout restaurants, with a great team providing fantastic service.

"I couldn't think of a more deserving restaurant to receive such an exciting refurbishment.

"We are counting down the days until we can open again."

The restaurant is part of the Big Table Group, which operates more than 150 restaurants throughout the UK and Ireland.
