It is set to open at the Brighton shopping centre on November 29.

Paul Thomas, Monsoon Accessorize retail director said: “We are really excited to be able to welcome our customers back to our brand-new store in Brighton.

“Our new store really showcases our amazing products, and we know our Brighton customers will love them. It’s good to be back.”

Before lockdown, Accessorize worked with brand consultancy Made Thought, based in London, to design its new store concepts.

Mark Buchanan-Smith, centre director at Churchill Square, said the store will have a “fresh and modern” feel.

He said: “We’re delighted to welcome Accessorize back to Churchill Square just in time for Christmas.

“We’re sure the new concept store will be very well received by Brighton’s fashion lovers.”

Last year, Monsoon Accessorize announced that 500 jobs would be lost after the business entered administration.

Accessorize’s previous store in Churchill Square closed in January 2020.

Signs in the windows directed customers to their next nearest store in Montague Street, Worthing.

Monsoon’s founder Peter Simon bought the business out of administration almost immediately but more than 500 staff were made redundant and 35 stores were closed.

Accessorize is the latest brand to open a store in Churchill Square, following New Look, which opened in June, and the launch of Laser Clinic UK’s first Brighton branch in August.

A coronavirus vaccine centre is currently occupying the site of the former Topshop store, which closed in February following the collapse of the Arcadia Group.
