THE calls for Phelim Mac Cafferty to resign seem a bit OTT.
If I had an important speaking engagement in Glasgow and my planned train journey was seriously in jeopardy, I'd find an alternative too.
Railway lines had been blocked, causing chaos for people travelling to COP26. With hindsight, he apologised undeservedly but I think his decision on the day was justified in the circumstances.
Perhaps he should stand as an MP instead, then any amount of sleaze is tolerated.
