KATIE Price has received a backlash from an animal charity after revealing she is getting another dog.

The Brighton-born celebrity is reportedly preparing to welcome a “protection dog” named Okra into her home.

The former glamour model is believed to currently have two dogs – a chihuahua named Buddy and a protection dog named Blade. Her fiancé Carl Woods also has his own dog named Sid.

The latest addition comes a year after her dog Rolo died at her home, while her Alsatian Sparkle was mowed down in February last year.

Her dog Queenie was killed in 2018, while in September, she also gave away a French bulldog.

Katie recently took to social media to announce she is looking forward to the arrival of a new dog.

“Can’t wait for my next protection dog,” she said.

However, director of animal charity PETA Elisa Allen has advised her against the move.

"Given her track record with animals, several of whom have died in her care, it would be irresponsible and reckless for Katie to be allowed to acquire another one,” she told The Sun.

"And any breeder willing to sell to her is clearly putting profit over the animals' welfare."

Katie and Carl recently landed in the US amid rumours they’re due to get married.

The couple, who got engaged in April, shared photos of them in Las Vegas.

Their trip comes after Katie broke her silence on her drink-driving crash – admitting she “could have killed someone”.

She recently completed a stay at The Priory rehabilitation clinic following the crash on the B2135 near Partridge Green in September.

The 43-year-old avoided prison time by entering the rehab facility after pleading guilty to drink driving, driving while disqualified and driving without insurance.

Her sentencing is due to take place on December 15.
