A MAN has been fined for riding a motorcycle while twice the legal drinking limit.

Stephen Foster was caught in Blackman Avenue, Hastings, and found to have 161 milligrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres of blood. The legal limit is 80 milligrammes.

The 44-year-old pleaded guilty to driving while over the limit and was fined £120 by Brighton magistrates.

The offence happened on August 31 last year.

Foster, of Upper Glen Road, St Leonards, was banned from holding a licence for 20 months. He will also have to pay £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service and a £34 surcharge.

The ban will be reduced by 20 weeks if Foster completes a course by December 19, 2022.
