KATIE Price has claimed that obtaining a wedding licence in Las Vegas was a stunt for a YouTube documentary.

The Brighton-born celebrity and her fiancé Carl Woods shared photos and videos from inside Caesars Palace's Romano chapel during their trip to the US.

The former glamour model was also spotted visiting a bridal dress shop and seen pulling a suitcase emblazoned with ‘Katie Woods’ on it at the airport.

However, after returning to the UK, Katie took to social media to claim the trip was for a YouTube video documenting how easy it is to get married in Las Vegas.

“Hey everyone, so were back from out trip. We was out filming some YouTube content and documenting how easy it would be to get married in Vegas,” she said in a post on Instagram.

“Showing the various steps involved. However, after being seen obtaining a very simple marriage licence, the UK media jumped all over it and made what should have been a nice trip into a trip from hell.”

The 43-year-old also stated that neither Carl nor she would “wouldn’t do anything the same as before” – referencing her wedding with Alex Reid at the chapel in the Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas in 2010.

“I suffered major anxiety waking up every morning worrying about what false news had been written or what desperate people had sold stories,” she added. s

The couple, who got engaged in April, obtained the marriage licence in Clark County, Nevada, and have one year to marry before it expires.

Katie has been married three times, but never legally taken her partners surname.

The former model first married Australian pop star Peter Andre in 2005 after meeting on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

The pair had two children - Junior, 16, and Princess, 14 – before divorcing in 2009.

She then married Alex Reid in 2010 before divorcing a year later.

Katie’s third marriage was to Kieran Hayler. Their divorce was finalised earlier this year.

Katie and fiancé Carl’s trip to Las Vegas comes after she broke her silence on her drink-driving crash – admitting she “could have killed someone”.

Katie recently completed a stay at The Priory rehabilitation clinic following the crash on the B2135 near Partridge Green in September.

She avoided prison by entering the rehab facility after pleading guilty to drink driving, driving while disqualified and driving without insurance.

Her sentencing is due to take place on December 15.

Prior to the crash, Katie was also hospitalised in an alleged attack.

She sustained a facial injury during the incident in Little Canfield, Essex, on August 23.

A 32-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault, theft and coercive and controlling behaviour.
