STUDENTS will be taking to the stage in London's West End as part of a performing arts school showcase.

Pupils from Stagecoach Haywards Heath will perform on the world-famous stage tomorrow (November 21) at the Shaftesbury Theatre, joining others from across the UK after a year's hiatus due to the pandemic.

32 schools will perform in the showcase, with many travelling hundreds of miles to join the West Sussex students in London.

For some of the students, it will be their last Stagecoach performance before they graduate to pursue a career in the performing arts and go on to further education to study theatre and drama.

Briony Tanner from Stagecoach said they are very excited to return to the Shaftesbury Theatre to perform again.

"We are so proud of the students, parents and teachers and all of the schools involved, many of whom are travelling many miles to London to take part, and all of whom have been rehearsing relentlessly to put on a fabulous show.

"It is such a pleasure to welcome everyone back through the doors to celebrate their hard work at the end of what has been a busy, and sometimes tough year."
