SOCIAL media star Zoella has officially released her new book.

The Brighton-based YouTuber, whose real name is Zoe Sugg, released her first fiction novel The Magpie Society: One for Sorrow in October 2020.

Co-authored with Amy McCulloch, the book details events at a boarding school from the points of view of two girls – Ivy, written by Zoe, and Audrey, written by Amy.

It was later announced that the release was to act as the first of a series, with a sequel titled The Magpie Society: Two for Joy.

Zoe took to social media on Wednesday to announce the official release of Two for Joy.

In a post on Instagram, she said: “It’s publication day.

“Ottilie isn’t the only baby I worked hard to produce this year (lol). Two For Joy is officially here, the second instalment of the Magpie Society.

“Amy McCulloch and I are thrilled that you can now follow Ivy and Audrey as they get to the bottom of the magpie mysteries in another Y/A gothic thriller set in Illumen Hall School.

“We did apologise for leaving One For Sorrow on the ultimate cliff hanger, so now that you can find out what happens next I can’t wait to hear what you think! (No spoilers in the comments though! Keep those to the DMs).

“Amy and I were absolutely thrilled with the love and support you gave us for book one so thank you thank you - it really does mean a lot to hear such lovely feedback on something you’ve poured yourself into, so it’s really appreciated.”
