A MAN has been banned from the road for almost two years after being caught drink driving.

Brett MacDonald of The Drive, Hove, has been disqualified from driving for 23 months after pleading guilty to the offence.

He had 94 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath after driving a Peugeot in Church Road, Hove in June. The legal limit is 35.

The 38-year-old was also given a community order by Brighton Magistrates and ordered to carry out 140 hours of supervised, unpaid work in the next 12 months.

MacDonald was also ordered to pay a surcharge of £95 and costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.
