BLUE have announced a 20th anniversary arena tour – including a show in Brighton.

The boy band will take to the stage at the Brighton Centre on September 26, 2022, as part of their Heart and Soul Tour.

The group will be supported by Atomic Kitten – who will be performing together for the first time in more than a decade.

The reunion shows mark two decades since the release of their chart-topping 2001 debut album All Rise.

Tickets for the tour go on general sale at 9am on Friday, December 3, on Ticketmaster.

The four-piece group is made up of Antony Costa, Duncan James, Lee Ryan and Simon Webbe.

The group formed in 2000 and has released five studio albums - All Rise (2001), One Love (2002) and Guilty (2003), Roulette (2013) and Colours (2015).

The All Rise album sold more than 1.4 million copies in the UK and was certified four-times platinum.

After a seven-year hiatus from 2004 to 2011, the group reformed to represent the UK at the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest with the song I Can. They came in 11th place with 100 points.

As part of the newly announced tour, the group will perform at 14 venues across the UK.

The concerts will feature the band’s hits from their five albums, as well as some “surprises”, according to organisers.

Speaking ahead of the tour, Blue said: “We can’t believe it’s been 20 years since All Rise, our debut album, was released.

“It’s been quite the ride since then and now we have so much to look forward to as we go into our third decade.

“We had a lot of time in lockdown to reconnect as friends and we started thinking how we could celebrate the anniversary. The four of us started working on new music and it felt so good to be back doing what we love again.

“This time off during the pandemic also made us realise how much we missed performing live. We can’t wait to get back on the road and see all of you at our Heart and Soul Tour.

“We have been planning this tour for a while and we promise you, we’ll be putting on the best show and making it a celebratory night you won’t forget. We have some surprises up our sleeve for the 20th anniversary so stay tuned, 2022 is going to be a big one.”
