A FIRE has broken out in the kitchen of a home prompting a response from emergency services.

Teams from West Sussex Fire and Rescue, Secamb and Sussex Police attended the scene in Dorset Place, Tarring, Worthing.

The fire broke out in the kitchen of the home at around 10.30 this morning.

Two fire engines from Worthing were on the scene, where the blaze was extinguished. All crews have now left.

A spokeswoman for West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said: "At 10.28am we were called to a house fire at Dorset Place, Worthing.

"Two fire engines from Worthing attended the incident and extinguished the fire in the kitchen.

"All crews have now left the scene. Sussex Police and Secamb were also in attendance.”
