A MAN has been found guilty of stalking a woman for over two months, at one point going to her flat in a Halloween mask and carrying a drill.
Darren Cartwright sent unwanted texts and Facebook messages and made phone calls to the woman.
The 43-year-old also followed her home from the Co-op, shouted abuse at her and damaged her bike.
He then went to the front door of her flat and tampered with her Ring doorbell while dressed in a Halloween mask and carrying an electric drill.
Brighton magistrates heard these incidents happened between July 14 to September 30 and had a "substantial adverse effect on her usual day-to-day activities".
Cartwright, of Lanark Court, Hamsey Close, Eastbourne, was arrested on October 1.
The following day at Brighton Magistrates' Court he denied stalking involving serious alarm and distress and the case was adjourned for summary trial.
Magistrates last week found him guilty and he has been remanded in Lewes Prison for sentencing.
