THE FOUNDER of the world's only professional ensemble of blind musicians is due to take the stage in Sussex.

The Inner Vision Orchestra founder Baluji Shrivastav OBE will perform at the Ropetackle Arts Centre in Shoreham on March 27, 2022.

They have also previously performed to sell-out crowds at Queen Elizabeth Hall, The Royal Opera House in Mumbai and The British Council Theatre in Delhi.

The orchestra was founded in 2012 – four years after Baluji founded the Baluji Music Foundation charity, which aims to address the barriers blind musicians face within the industry.

The foundation also trains musicians to record music and go on tour, as well as encouraging venues and promoters to hire blind musicians.

The Baluji Music Foundation is also the only organisation in the UK attempting to find work for blind musicians.

The second half of the Shoreham show will feature local guest artists Andy Platt and Kate Hogg, who will join Sanju, James Welland and Linda Shanovitch on stage.

Tickets for the show are available from £15 on the Ropetackle Arts Centre website.
