NOVEMBER’S competition theme “colours of autumn” obviously struck a chord with our creative camera club members as were flooded with entries.
The many beautiful gardens we have in Sussex provided inspiration for many as there were many photographs showing them in all their glory, Leonardslee and Sheffield Park to name but two.
Below is Tyrone Campbell's picture of Sheffield Park and, below that, Krisztina Miklos's image of Leonardslee.
Lots of entries went for the close-up – we particularly liked Samantha Thomas’s picture of red leaves and Peter Dupont’s image of bright orange berries.
Another favourite was Mike Melville-Reed’s picture, taken at Southover Grange in Lewes, which shows a glorious red tree highlighted against the grey building.

It was harder than ever to pick a winner this month but, after much deliberation, we have gone for a picture that not only shows the colours of autumn but also, it seems, the colours of the rainbow. Sandrine Bessonnat Hawkes took this great shot, far right, in the garden of her home in Southwick and she wins £50 for her efforts.
December’s theme is the opposite end of the spectrum – “white”.
As always, please post your photo on The Argus Camera Club Facebook page with a note to say where it was taken.
It is one entry per person and the competition ends at midnight on December 31.
The winner will receive a £50 prize
