A WEATHER warning has been issued as high winds are expected to cause travel disruptions.
The Met Office issued the yellow wind warning for Sussex amid expected strong winds from Tuesday, December 7.
The wind is expected to pick up from about 9am and last until midnight.
Gusts of 45-50mph are “widely” expected, while 60-70mph gusts could happen in “exposed coastal locations”.
The Met Office has also warned of potential travel disruption and short term loss of power.
Delays to road, railway, air and ferry transport are likely, according to the Met Office.
A deep area of low pressure moving in across the UK from the Atlantic is “likely to bring high winds to many parts” of the country.
Temperatures in some parts of Sussex are predicted to reach lows of 0C on Tuesday, but could feel like -4C.
Heavy rain showers throughout the day are also expected.
Light rain showers are predicted for Wednesday, with a fresh breeze likely.
