DETECTIVES investigating a sexual assault on a young woman have issued an Efit of a man they want to trace.

Just after 3am on Wednesday November 17, a 19-year-old woman was walking along West Street, Bognor, close to Market Street and Waterloo Square, when she was attacked by a man near the sunken gardens.

He grabbed her twice and assaulted her, but she struggled free and ran off.

The suspect is white, in his thirties, of skinny build, with dark slicked back hair, a beard and moustache, and possible lip piercing.

He was wearing a black hoody and black trainers, he spoke with what sounded to be a Eastern European accent.

Officers had previously issued an appeal for information on November 19.

Detective Constable Jill Stevens said: "This was a very concerning although isolated incident.

"If you can help identify this man, or if you have any other information, please get in touch with us either online or by calling 101, quoting serial 151 of 17/11."

See the Sussex Police website for information on reporting sexual offences and the support that is available.
