A MAN has been sentenced to six weeks in prison after committing fraud at a city centre supermarket.

Cameron Oliver Austin, 36, of North Road, Brighton, used another person's bank card to buy goods at the Co-op in North Street on October 25.

Austin, who pleaded guilty, was also ordered to pay a £128 victim surcharge by Brighton Magistrates' Court on Monday.

His guilty plea was taken into account when imposing the sentence, but the court said he had a flagrant disregard for court orders.

His sentence will run consecutively to a previous sentence imposed for breaching a community order.
