ARMED police were called to a train station after reports of a man with a weapon.
Police were called to Oxford Road, in Worthing near the train station at around 2.45pm this afternoon.
Photos from the scene shows officers with guns standing outside the station and one officer was pictured with a police dog.
Officers closed a number of surrounding roads while they searched an address, and two police cars were parked outside the station.
Sussex Police confirmed that nothing of concern was found.
A spokesman said: “Police were called to Oxford Road in Worthing at around 2.45pm on Wednesday (December 8) after a member of the public reported seeing a man with a weapon inside a building.
“Officers closed a number of surrounding roads to ensure the safety of the public and conducted a search of the premises, but nothing of concern was found.”
