A BINGO extravaganza will be lifting spirits in the city with a night of games and festive fun.

Bingo Loco, which takes place all over the UK, features a night of top tunes and live DJs combined with the traditional bingo game.

Known for a trademark sense of madness that has turned the traditional game on its head, Bingo Loco is all about “carnage”, with prizes ranging from a new car, or a week in Vegas, to the absurd such as a lawnmower or 10-foot teddy bears.

Partygoers can also expect epic dance-offs, confetti showers, speed Macarena, foul-mouthed wind-up merchants, cheeky stage performers, lip-sync battles, fancy dress, outrageous props and of course, a not so casual game of bingo.

The event will take place at Pryzm in West Street, Brighton on December 18.

Organiser say the venue will transformed into a winter wonderland and staff will be dressed in festive outfits.

The Argus:

Craig Reynolds, co-founder of Bingo Loco, said: “You can expect epic dance-offs, massive throwback tunes, confetti showers, speed Macarena, cheeky stage performers, lip-sync battles, fancy dress, outrageous props, holiday giveaways, fantastic crowds, weird and wonderful times and of course, a not so casual game of bingo.

"We are rolling straight into the Autumn and Winter season, with shows packed full of entertainment, off the back of an incredible Summer season that saw us bring Bingo Loco all over the UK.”

The idea of the event came about when Irishman Craig alongside a founding partner, backpacked to the front-line fight against ISIS back in 2016 and found themselves playing bingo in a communal hall with Peshmerga soldiers.

Since they did not know Arabic, they made their own rules, which of course involved a drink, and the rest was history.

The event will also be visiting venues in London, Birmingham, Newcastle, Middlesbrough, Leeds, Derby, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Watford, Colchester, Chelmsford, Nottingham, Plymouth, Kingston, and Exeter.
