How to book a COVID-19 vaccination

People can get their vaccine by booking online through the National Booking Service or by calling 119, with some GP practices also inviting those who are eligible to get in touch.

The online booking service is currently facing extremely high demand and is now operating a queueing system.

The site states: “If you're unable to book now, please try again later today or tomorrow.”

People aged 18 to 29 years old who are not already in a higher risk group cannot book a booster dose using this service yet and will have to wait until Wednesday, December 15 to do so.

Walk-in vaccination centres

Walk-in vaccination sessions mean you don’t need an appointment, and you can simply turn up to receive your vaccination.

Currently, this service is mainly offering first and second vaccinations, so it’s important to check the details of the centre you intend to visit if you are looking to receive your booster.
