FANS of football sticker albums can head into Brighton for the latest release after a trading card shop was chosen for a big launch.
The Fora Sports Trading Company in Hanningtons Lane, Brighton, sells collectable football cards and was used by the company Panini to launch its new official sticker album for the Premier League 2021/2022 season.
The album covers all 20 teams in the league in detail and includes information on all the players, including strikers and the latest up-and-coming talent.
Panini's head of marketing Chris Clover told the Argus: "Brighton is the local Premier League club for Panini UK and Ireland as we are based in Tunbridge Wells.
"When I came to Fora and saw it was a shop dedicated to all things Panini it seemed to be an obvious choice.
"This album has been a real labour of love for our UK design team, and it is the third Premier League sticker album that we have done.
"We have really thrown the kitchen sink at it in terms of the design, quality of product, the amount of detail and statistics in the album itself, and we have really high hopes that the fans will love it.
"We feel that we are bringing back the glory days of football stickers which was always our plan."
At the event, people were able to have a picture with the Premier League trophy as well as have their own football card made of themselves.
Kevin Hawthorne, the owner of Fora, told the Argus: "It is a dream come true as a panini collector for the last 30 years, I wouldn't ever have imagined anything like this.
"To be the owner of the shop that can put on this event with Panini is fantastic. I am very proud.
"It is fantastic that they are supporting local business, they are known all around the world. When you think of football stickers, you think of Panini and the history that comes with it dating back to the 1960s.
"Now, 50 years later, we are hosting an event of theirs, it is just amazing."
England West Ham midfielder Declan Rice is the face of Panini's new album.
The full launch of the album is tomorrow and can be purchased at all good retailers.
