PEOPLE were able to watch a spectacular firework display last night on the seafront.

On Brighton seafront, fireworks were set off to celebrate the end of 2021 and welcome in the new year of 2022.

Hundreds of people gathered along the promenade to watch the celebrations and were treated to a stunning show. Fireworks could be seen exploding all the way down the coastline from the i360 to Shoreham.

There were some huge fireworks set off, but the star of the show was an aircraft that was performing stunts while firing off more fireworks.

The aircraft performed loop-the-loops over the water near the West Pier while fireworks fired off its wings.

In the video, the aircraft can be seen attempting at least five stunts in front of people watching from the ground.

The aircraft was piloted by Guy Westgate who is part of team Aerosparx.

The team has flown all around the world and one of the planes is now based locally at Bognor Regis
