KATIE Price has said she feels “ashamed” of her actions after she avoided a jail term for drink-driving following a crash near her home.
The 43-year-old was handed a 16-week suspended sentence at Crawley Magistrates’ Court in December for drink-driving while being disqualified and not having insurance,
She was also disqualified from driving for two years and ordered to pay £85 costs.
The former glamour model form Brighton said she found the events “really traumatic”.
In an interview on ITV’s Good Morning Britain alongside her son Harvey, she said: 'It's been traumatic, so I'm not ready to talk about it yet.
“But what I will say is that I went to the Priory, and I've made the decision finally to see a therapist every week, forever, to deal with the traumatic events that led me to getting into that car.
“I'm very good at hiding things but when I'm ready to talk about it then I will come on to talk. There's reasons why I got in that car and my mental state but when I'm ready I will.
“I feel ashamed about it all. There are reasons that I am still dealing with now. It's a new year but I'm still dealing with it, people shouldn't judge people, there's always reasons for things.”
Price, of Dial Post, Horsham, pleaded guilty to driving while disqualified, without insurance and while unfit through drink after rolling her BMW at 6.20am on September 28.

Ahead of sentencing, District Judge Kelly told the former glamour model: "When you chose to get behind the wheel that night you showed no concern for others.
"You could have killed somebody.
"Your actions meant the emergency services had to use up their precious time. You knowingly and deliberately flouted a court order and not for the first time.
"You seem to think you are above the law."
The reality TV star had already been banned from driving on six separate occasions before her sentencing in December.
District Judge Kelly told the court that Price already owes £7,358 in relation to previous offences.
Katie entered her pleas at Crawley Magistrates’ Court on September 29, a day after telling police: “I took drugs, I should not be driving, I admit it all.”
At the hearing, her sentencing was adjourned on the condition she completed a stay at The Priory rehabilitation clinic.
