ROAD users are being advised to plan their journeys ahead due to a road closure on the A27.

The westbound carriageway will be closed from the A283 Shoreham junction to the Manor Road roundabout from 8pm on Thursday, January 6 to 6am on Friday, January 7.

Closures will also take place between the same times on Thursday, January 13 and Friday, January 14.

A diversion will be in place along the A259.

National Highways South East said the work is being carried out to repair a pothole near the Adur Viaduct.

A spokesman for National Highways said additional closures will take place on Thursday, January 20 and Friday, January 21, should work not be completed as planned.
