KATIE Price’s former nanny has reportedly given a witness statement to police following an assault which left the star hospitalised.

The Brighton-born former glamour model sustained a facial injury during the incident in Little Canfield, Essex, on August 23 last year.

The man suspected of attacking the TV personality has been “released under investigation” after being arrested and bailed three times.

According to The Mirror, Katie’s ex-nanny has now spoken to police and given a statement.

The mother of five told police she had been the victim of a violent attack and was driven to a friend’s house nearby where she was attended to by paramedics.

Following the assault in Little Canfield, Essex, a 32-year old man was arrested on suspicion of assault, theft and coercive and controlling behaviour.

Sources say officers have also been looking at footage from ambulance and paramedic cameras from August 23 last year, according to The Mirror.

During an interview on ITV’s Good Morning Britain, Katie recently said she hoped 2022 would bring her “no more dramas” and admitted she felt “ashamed” about her drink-driving crash.

She was handed a suspended sentence after crashing on the B2135 near Partridge Green in September.

She was also given a 16-week prison sentence, suspended for 12 months, with 100 hours of unpaid work, 20 rehabilitation activity requirement sessions to be completed within the next 12 months and disqualified from driving for two years.

“The events leading up to it were really traumatic and it’s still been traumatic afterwards, so I’m not ready to talk about it yet,” she said.

“What I can say is I went to The Priory and I’ve made the decision finally to see a therapist every week, and will do forever, to deal with the traumatic events that led me up to that car.”

Katie also said she wants to tie the knot with boyfriend Carl Woods this year.

She added: “This is the year for me – babies, marriage I want it all.”

Katie previously announced a new book about her drink-driving crash and rehabilitation, which will be her eighth autobiography.
