THERE are severe delays along the seafront in Brighton and Hove due to broken red lights which are causing a backlog of cars for miles.
The delays stretch from the A259 Kingsway in Hove all the way back to the Palace Pier in Brighton, a two mile stretch.
Pictures from the scene earlier this morning show queues on the Westbound carriageway by Hove Lawns stretching back.
People have been diverting to Church Road and many cars have been going through the red lights, which are stuck on red.
Highways England has been contacted for comment.
Traffic now appears to be easing.
A spokesman for Brighton and Hove City Council said the traffic lights have now been fixed.
