PART of a major carriageway has been closed as emergency services attend a crash.

Both sides of the A27 Brighton bypass has been closed due to a crash this morning.

Emergency services including fire service crews from Shoreham, Worthing and Hove are at the scene.

Motorists are advised to find alternative routes where possible as the road closure causes delays

Writing on Twitter, a West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: "We have just been advised that the A27 Brighton bypass eastbound [just under the bridge] has been closed on both sides due to a road traffic collision.

"We have teams from Shoreham, Worthing and Hove in attendance. Please find alternative routes where possible."
