POLICE cordoned off masonry which fell from a building last night.
The stonework was on the floor outside of Tlaloc on Brighton seafront by Preston Street just after 8pm.
It is unclear how it fell from the building and police say it was cordoned off as a precaution.
The stonework was left with a building inspector after the area was cordoned.
Pictures from the scene show four officers by the cordoned off area.
No one was injured by the falling brick work.
A Sussex Police spokesman said: "Police received a report of masonry having fallen from a building on the corner of Preston Street and Kings Road, Brighton, about 8.11pm on Friday 14 January.
"Officers cordoned off a section of the pavement and road as a precaution, and the incident was left with the building inspector."
