FIREFIGHTERS tackled a house fire in a block of flats.
Emergency services were called to the blaze at a property in Lewes Crescent, Brighton, at 6.58pm on Sunday, January 16.
Pictures from the scene show fire crews using an ariel ladder to reach the fire on the third floor of the property.
On Sunday evening, the East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said in a statement: “We are currently attending an incident in Lewes Crescent, Brighton.
“Crews are using the aerial ladder platform breathing apparatus and a hose reel to deal a fire in a third floor flat. Please avoid the area.”
A witness at the scene said four pumps were used by firefighters.
