A MAN suffered serious injuries during a violent assault in which a Rolex watch was stolen.

The 64-year-old was assaulted by two men inside a property in Peacehaven.

He suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital. A police spokesman said he has been “making progress”.

A number of items were also stolen from the address, including a Rolex watch.

The incident happened in South Coast Road, near Ambleside Avenue, shortly before 8am on January 10.

The first robber is white and aged between 25 and 35.

He is of medium build, about 5ft 11in and was wearing a hooded top and a black face covering.

Meanwhile, the second is mixed race, aged between 25 and 25 and had short dark hair.

He was wearing a balaclava and dark clothing.

Sussex Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information about what happened.
