POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a man was left with serious injuries following an assault at a pub.

The incident occurred at The Dolphin and Anchor, in West Street, Chichester during the evening of Saturday, January 15.

An altercation occurred, which left a 20-year-old local man with injuries including a broken ankle.

Police do not know exactly what time the assault occurred as the pub was busy with customers that evening.

Officers are asking anyone with information to report it online or call 101, quoting serial 864 of 16/01.
