A MAN has been arrested after a woman was found dead at a house in an "unexplained" tragedy.
Officers from Sussex Police were called to the property in Stonefield Way, Burgess Hill, at about 10.15pm yesterday.
Emergency services, including the air ambulance, rushed to the address but the woman was declared dead.
Pictures show forensics probing the scene, using torches to look for evidence during the night.
A man has been arrested over the incident and enquiries are ongoing, Sussex Police said.
A spokesman said: “About 10.15pm on Wednesday, January 26, police were called following concerns for a woman at a house in Stonefield Way, Burgess Hill.
“Emergency services attended the scene, including the air ambulance, and the woman was tragically declared deceased.
“Her death is being treated as unexplained at this stage.
“A man has been arrested in connection with the incident and enquiries are ongoing.
"We have no further information at this time.”
