FOOTLOOSE is set to finally burst onto the stage in Sussex next month, after a tour was cancelled due to the pandemic.

Based on the 1980s film, the musical features the best in UK musical talent with modern choreography and classic hits, including Holding Out for a Hero and title track Footloose.

The musical follows city boy Ren, who is forced to move to a rural backwater in America. However, his world comes to a standstill when he arrives at Bormont to find dancing and rock music is band. Ren soon has all hell breaking loose and the whole town on its feet.

The cast is led by Dancing on Ice winner and theatre star Jake Quickenden as Willard and musical theatre favourite Darren Day as Reverend Moore.

Jake said: "I can't wait to get out on tour with Footloose, after such a strange and difficult time we will finally we will all be able to join our friends and family in the theatre for a truly feel good night out.

"This show is packed full of amazing 80s hits I can't think of a better tonic."

The curtain opens on the show at the Theatre Royal in Brighton for a week from February 21, with tickets available from their website.
