TRAIN services have been cancelled and delayed by up to 20 minutes as police deal with an incident.
The line between Worthing and Hove was blocked while officers attend an incident near the railway.
Southern Rail said that disruption between the stations is expected to last until 5.45pm this evening and encouraged customers to check journey planners before their travel, as services may take longer than expected to reach their destination.
A spokesman for Southern Rail said: "The police are dealing with an incident near the railway between Worthing and Hove.
"As a result of this, trains may be cancelled or delayed by up to 20 minutes between these stations.
"We anticipate this to continue until 17.45."
The line has now reopened, but journeys are expected to still face some disruption for some time.
