PAGE 14 of Tuesday’s Argus shows just how our city council treats us residents.

Philip Winnan was fined £400 for overdoing his job as a carer, must I say not a high-paid worker.

Was he a flytipper that the environmental enforcement officer caught? No it was poor Philip Winnan doing a civil courtesy by putting out the rubbish content from his client's bin.

Did he place it in a recycling bin? No it was a communal bin. Was it his rubbish? No it was not.

The scourge of flytipping is rife and the cost of clearing it up astronomical. What are those city council overzealous environmental enforcement officers doing about the flytipping?

Our city council employs subcontractors and believe what these subcontractors do is not their concern.

That is similar to Bumbling Boris saying he did not know what was happening at Number 10.

The leader of our council cannot see the domino mistakes his Green Party keep making. They do know how to clear their mess up.

It lucky there is an Independent councillor who has seen the injustice the council has inflicted on this dedicated carer doing his duty.

It about time our council did their duty by not getting involved with national politics and attempt to do what they are overpaid to do, that is to look after the city of Brighton and Hove.

It is a pity we residents cannot fine them for the way they have left this city in a mess.
