THE story in Tuesday's Argus about the new footbridge over Lewes Road left me feeling quite annoyed so I’m putting pen to paper.
I live up the top of Coombe Road and for us residents this has been horrendous.
We have to put up with constant noise (day and night), road closures, road works, traffic jams, students' rubbish and partying.
To say this new bridge and buildings have breathed new life into this area is poppycock.
This council needs to remember not only students matter. There are normal hardworking people living in Brighton and families in greater need of housing/help.
Is this bridge going to be for public use (I think not).
Hopefully it may make them take out a set of traffic lights to ease congestion.
