A DEDICATED centre for young people looking for career advice is hosting a week of events for job seekers.

To mark National Apprenticeship Week 2022 the Youth Employment Hub in Kemptown, Brighton is offering daily events and opportunities for under-25s, from February 7 to 11.

Employers and training providers from key sectors in the city, including construction, education, land-based, creative and digital, will be at the centre offering interviews and informative sessions.

The team will be there to answer questions, support with apprenticeship applications and interview practice, as well as offering advice.

Elle Dyson, Youth Hub coordinator, said: “We’ve found young people really appreciate having a physical space for them - especially after the isolation experienced by many during the pandemic.

“They can drop in, enjoy refreshments, meet friends, access computers and get friendly support from our professional and expert advisors.

“We also offer free courses to help young people develop self-confidence and other life skills, as well as a lunch club, art club and yoga.”

Here's a list of events being offered by the hub:

  • Monday February 7 - Creative and Digital apprenticeships with Creative Process.
  • Tuesday February 8 - Construction apprenticeships with Strive Development and Brighton and Hove City Council and Trac.
  • Wednesday February 9 - Teaching assistant apprenticeships with Aldridge Adult Learning Academy.
  • Thursday February 10 - Land-based, butchery and bakery apprenticeships with Plumpton College.
