A ROAD has been blocked due to a fallen telegraph pole.

Traffic is being affected on the A22 in both directions near Crockstead Farm Hotel in Eastbourne Road, Halland.

Officers from Sussex roads police said road will remain closed until UK Power Networks assess the scene.

A spokesman said: “The A22 is currently closed between Little Horsted and Halland due to a fallen power line across the road: likely to be shut for a while pending a UK Power Networks assessment.”

An AA traffic update said: “Road blocked and queueing traffic due to accident on A22 both ways near Crockstead Farm Hotel.

"The telegraph pole has now fallen and is blocking the road, road is now impassable.”
