THE UNDATEABLES star Lily Taylor has revealed her favourite pubs, restaurants and pantomime venues.

Born and raised in Steyning, Lily now lives in Brighton with her former fiancé and fellow star of the Channel 4 show Daniel Wakeford.

Lily, who has a learning disability, has revealed her favourite day-trip destinations, pantomime venues and pubs in Sussex during a segment on The Argus Podcast called Five of the Best.

If you were going for a coffee and a cake with a friend from out of town, where would you take them in Sussex?  

“Perch on Lancing Beach. It’s got an amazing view,” Lily said.

Lily’s mother Karen, who joined her on the podcast, said: “It’s amazing. It’s a sheer glass front that opens up and you’re literally on the beach.

“It’s always busy, no matter what the weather.

“It’s one of our favourites.”

What is the best shop in Sussex?  

“There is a shop that we all love, it niche, and it’s called Aquila Jewellery,” Karen said.

“We’ve all since its opened had so many beautiful pieces of jewellery from it.

“It’s a young girl who’s set it up  and she has all the jewellery made in India - it’s all ethical and affordable.

“It’s a new-ish shop in Brighton that I recommend for all girls and all boys who want to make their girls happy to go and visit.”

Whether it be for a concert, comedy or theatre, what is the best venue around?  

“Pantomimes,” Lily said. “Worthing Pavilion Theatre to see Beauty and The Beast.

“And the Ropetackle Arts Centre in Shoreham.”

“She must’ve seen thousands. She absolutely loves them,” Karen added.

If you’re looking to escape the city, what is your favourite outdoors place to visit?  

“Standen House in East Grinstead,” Lily said.

Karen added: “It’s amazing, it’s beautiful. It has a lovely National Trust shop and restaurant. We’ve been so many times.

“It’s like taking a step back in time. I cannot recommend it more highly.”

And lastly, whether it be for a drink or a sit-down meal, what is the best bar, pub or restaurant in Sussex?  

“The Nevill pub in Hove,” Lily said.

“That’s Lily’s favourite place to go for the Heart Venture night and they have lovely pizza and a good old sing,” Karen added.
