BRIGHTON is a city of pizza-lovers, ordering the most pizza in the country on a food delivery app.

Deliveroo revealed that the city placed the most pizza orders in the UK over the last three months, with London and Manchester completing the top three.

Deliveroo's findings come as the app marks National Pizza Day with a range of money-saving deals at high street pizza chains.

A spokesman for the delivery app said: "Over the years, pizza has consistently been one of our customers' favourite dishes across the nation, but when it comes to toppings, we see a great variation in popularity and trends.

"Recent Deliveroo order data reveals our customers have a growing tolerance for the hot stuff, with orders of spicy pizzas like the Diavola and the Salamino Piccante trending in recent months.

"Whatever your favourite topping, we're giving our customers exactly what they knead this National Pizza Day - the hottest and best value offers around from some of the best pizza joints in the UK, all delivered to your doorstep by Deliveroo."

To mark the occasion, diners can save 50 per cent on an American Hot at Pizza Express, get two for £10 on all pizzas at Bella Italia, save 30 per cent on orders over £30 with Papa Johns, and save 20 per cent off at Frankie and Bennys through the Deliveroo app.

Pizza-lovers can also save 25 per cent off pizzas until February 11 on the app with Prezzo.
